If you miss seeing classic homes with traditional interiors that truly stand the test of time, this classic lake house by Martha Dayton Design — one of the designer’s most popular projects to date — is one you won’t soon forget. To be completely honest with you, I have missed sharing homes with this much attention to detail. Homes like this are not as easy to find anymore and I feel extremely honored to be sharing this designer’s impeccable work. Martha kindly shared every detail imaginable for this project and, trust me, that takes a lot of time and attention. From the Designer: “Old and new meld seamlessly in this classic creekside home built in 1936. Recently renovated for Leslie and Bob—native Midwesterners who lived for years in California but recently relocated to and fell in love with the Twin Cities—it now features strong connections between indoors and out. That includes making the most of views onto Minnehaha Creek, where kayaks and herons grace the summertime landscape and a neighborhood ice hockey rink moves in come winter.” – Martha Dayton Design
