Free Soul Protein Powder Review

I have absolutely no idea where I first heard about Free Soul Protein Powder but I remember liking the sound of it because it was formulated especially for women.

To be honest, things marketed towards women don’t usually appeal but now I’m into the menopause and feeling the effects of ageing, I feel I need more help with my diet to keep my bones, joints and muscles healthy, especially as I don’t eat as healthily as I should do, with a large part of my diet being chocolate.

Key vitamins, minerals and nutrients

I’ve also been on the hunt for something to help with fatigue and Free Soul Vegan Protein Blend’s list of vitamins, minerals and nutrients looked like it had everything I was looking for:

  • Peruvian Maca
  • Ginseng
  • Guarana
  • Vitamin B1, B3, B6 and B12
  • Iron
  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Flaxseed
  • L-Carnitine

The only thing it didn’t have were good reviews. It seems Free Soul had the audacity to change their recipe and in so doing, ruining the flavour, especially of the vanilla one, which is the flavour I had my eye on.

Still, it was worth giving it a go wasn’t it? If I didn’t like it, I could just bury it in brownies or something, couldn’t I?

So, I parted with my £25, waited for it to turn up and then gave it a go in a smoothie.

My verdict? Delicious!

I don’t know what these bad reviews are talking about. Admittedly, I have nothing to compare it with so it could well have been nicer before the recipe revamp but Free Soul Vanilla Protein Blend has a gorgeous flavour with no horrible ‘proteiny’ taste or aftertaste.

I should probably confess I didn’t have it ‘neat’ in milk or water but in a smoothie with soya milk, spinach, frozen pineapple and berries and vegan yoghurt which went well with the vanilla flavour.

Free Soul Vegan Protein Blend is:

  • gluten-free
  • dairy-free
  • sucralose-free
  • vegan

and is without:

  • artificial colours
  • MPC
  • soy
  • added sugar
  • animal products
  • GMOs

I love this stuff. It’s too early to tell if it’s doing me any good but I know I feel happy when I’m drinking it and I’ll definitely be getting it on subscription to save myself a few quid.

Where to buy Free Soul Vegan Protein Powder

I bought mine via Amazon (affiliate link) but I’ve now set up a subscription on the Free Soul website and if you want to try it out, this link gets you 15% off and a free Greens trial pack.
