How To Make Vegan Orange Pomegranate Bread


Enjoy your winter holidays with this delicious recipe for Vegan Orange Pomegranate Bread Recipe. This recipe is very easy to make and goes great with coffee for breakfast or in the afternoon with tea.

Pomegranate season is just getting into full swing! Pomegranates may be my favorite fruit. They can be messy but the mess doesn’t outweigh the rewards.

For Bread:

    Cups
    All-Purpose Flour
  • 3/4
    Cup
    Organic Cane Sugar
  • 1 1/2
    Tsp
    Baking Powder
  • 1/2
    Tsp
    Baking Soda
  • 1
    Tsp
    Salt
  • 3/4
    Cup
    Almond Milk
  • Zest of One Orange
  • 1/4
    Cup
    Vegan Butter
    melted
  • 1/2
    Cup
    Orange Juice
  • 2
    Ea
    Bananas
  • 1
    Cup
    Pomegranate Seeds

For Icing:

  • 1/2
    Cup
    Powdered Sugar
  • 1 1/2
    Tbs
    Orange Juice

  1. In a bowl, sift flour, cane sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  2. In a separate bowl, mash bananas. The bananas can be a little chunky, but we want them to be somewhat smooth. Add the almond milk, melted vegan butter, and orange juice. Mix until well combined.

  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined. Fold in the orange zest and pomegranate seeds.

  4. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan. Place into a preheated oven and baked for 60 minutes or until the bread passes the toothpick test.

  5. Allow to cool completely before icing. To make the icing, combine the powdered sugar and orange juice. Mix until all of the powder sugar has dissolved. Drizzle over.
