The Best Baked Tofu Bacon Recipe- made with just 8-ingredients, this tofu bacon is easy to prepare and packed with delicious smoky flavor! (vegan, high protein, soy-free option)

There are a lot of incredible tofu bacon recipes on the internet but many of them require frying the tofu. Besides destroying your indoor air quality, it’s not exactly the healthiest option for preparing tofu.

I’ve been making this baked tofu bacon on a weekly basis for months now and it is by far our favorite meatless bacon. That’s saying a lot as we’ve tried nearly every vegan bacon on the market. Tempeh bacon, seitan bacon, mushroom bacon. Been there, done that.

I will admit, the texture of this baked tofu bacon is not going to be as crispy as the fried versions but the flavor is on point. It works perfect for topping salads, making BLT sandwiches, and layered on breakfast bagels. I especially love it paired with my lentil tofu egg bake in sandwiches. The possibilities are endless!

How to Prepare Baked Tofu Bacon

  1. Slice tofu into 1/4-inch thick strips.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients in a large, shallow bowl and whisk together.
  3. Add tofu strips to the bowl and toss until evenly coated. Allow to marinate for at least 30-minutes, stirring intermittently to assure the strips are evenly coated in marinade.
  4. Bake in the oven at 400°F for 10-15 minutes on each side.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy!

How to Store Leftovers

Leftovers are best kept in a sealed container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. Simply reheat in the oven, air fryer or microwave when ready to eat. Use your best judgment in determining when it is no longer safe to eat.
